ryan blogWelcome, ONE and EVERYONE!

Along with the new year comes the opportunity to change things up. One thing we're changing in 2013 is our web presence. For many years now we have had a wonderful website, hosted by Renaissance Man and all-around nice guy Bob Kaine. Bob is taking a well-deserved break from hosting duties and we wanted to take this opportunity to THANK HIM for many years of thankless work! I, personally, know a number of people that now attend Pinedale because they found us via the website! Bob (and a number of other faithful servants) made that connection possible.

As we looked at new hosting options we decided that this was the perfect time to overhaul our web presence and create a platform that will host a number of new and emerging technologies as we move further into the 21st century. Things like a more integrated, easier to follow podcasting solution that sets the stage for video podcasting; centralized Pinedale-related blogs; a fully armed and operational MOBILE website that you can access via your smartphone; Overall improvements in structure so that the information you are looking for is easier to find!

You will see some of these enhancements today! Others will be coming in the very near future. A number of staff and volunteers worked hard to bring the new site live today, but I want to specifically single out Laura Poore and Dana Cline who work in the church office. They put in many, many overtime hours migrating data, creating new logos and layouts, meeting with people who think they know what they're talking about, but don't (me), and just plain pouring God's love into this site: they know what an important tool it can be when it comes to connecting with today's Seeker.

Not New

What hasn't changed is how much we love You*. Whether you've been a member for (almost) 100 years or you just joined last Sunday or this is the first time your eyes have seen the words "Pinedale Christian Church" next to each other, we are GLAD that we have this opportunity to interact with you. There's nothing magic about a website. It's still just a communication tool. It doesn't replace what goes on within the walls of Pinedale Christian Church, within the hearts of its members, and within the community and world that we try to impact in the name of the Savior we love and serve: Jesus.

If you're a member, we hope that you will find more reason than ever before to make a daily destination. There will be more blogs, daily devotions, multimedia and interactivity with your fellow servants in Christ. Miss last Sunday's sermon? Listen to it on your smartphone with a tap of your finger. Want to see what special events are coming up? Click on the calendar and add the events to your own calendar. Want to subscribe to Pinedale's podcasts and blogs? You can easily add us from iTunes or add the RSS feed to your device of choice.

All these neat things aside, the love of our Father for You* remains the same as it ever was: never-ending, never-changing. If you are looking for a church home to discover that love for the first time, or you just want to understand it better, or you're simply hurting and you need help...please come see us. We'd love to talk to You*. :-)

Holla Back

Please let us know what you think of the new site. Let us know what you like and what you think needs improvement. You can post a comment to this post or you can call or email our staff. This website is a collaboration, and we want You* to be a part of the conversation!

On behalf of the staff and elders, Welcome to the new website! Enjoy your stay!

Hey Brooke :)!

Please do not think that PayPal has escaped discussion. A number of people have asked about PayPal being an option for online giving. As you know, CURRENTLY PayPal is not an option. Our online giving partner is Simple Give and they accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover and personal checking. But, not PayPal. :(

We want to make online giving as easy as possible and are interested in making PayPal an option in the future. A number of solutions are being considered and we will make an announcement when something changes.

Thanks for the feedback, Brooke :)!

Love the new, clean look! Very user-friendly, nice photography and easy to find info I want. Can you guys maybe integrate paypal? I'd love to set up my online giving but would rather pay through paypal.. is that an option to add later?

Thank you for your feedback! At this time the classes are listed on the "Announcement" page. Click on the tab on the lower left of the home page.

This new website looks awesome and is easy to navigate. Thanks for all the hard work!
I do have a comment: I got on the website in hopes of finding out when a particular class that was mentioned in the bulletin was starting. No classes are mentioned. It would be great if they were.
